Sandra Oluoch, MSc

Former Intern

Sandra interned in the Gibbons Lab as a University of Washington Bioengineering MSc graduate, having also worked at Fred Hutch and Juno Therapeutics where she was involved in pancreatic cancer and T-cell therapy. Before that, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester. Sandra is interested in the gut microbiome because of the extensive role it plays in regulating host health. While in the Gibbons Lab, Sandra completed a project that involved learning computational biology and machine learning techniques to analyze data from studies done on the gut microbiome. Sandra went on to work at the Allen Institute for Cell Science.
